Slightly, but not entirely off topic history…
When I was 18 years old, I moved in with my husband (then fiance) and wanted to celebrate our new life together by cooking him our very first meal. If memory serves me correctly, it was fried chicken tenders, mashed potatoes and green beans. Well, about 15 minutes into cooking dinner I got a knock at the door – it was my mom and dad. This was a completely surprise visit considering I had just moved out of their house a few hours before that. The real shocker was the reason they were there – to make sure I hadn’t burned down our new apartment. Looking back I have to laugh at their lack of confidence in my cooking skills.
Fast forward nearly 10 years later and I have to say I’ve completely surprised not only myself but my parents as well. I had never dreamed that someday I would practice my way through the kitchen to be able to create some pretty beautiful desserts. Especially considering my skills at that point amounted to that experimental chicken dinner and a few grilled cheese sandwiches. And for the record – I did NOT burn down the apartment, in fact, the meal turned out pretty great!
This is where my passion for the Wilton brand comes in. It’s one that has been there with me, producing fantastic products since I can remember. Even as a child I remember my mom’s “Wilton Stash” with rows upon rows of cookie decorations and a cabinet full of Wilton bakeware. It’s a brand that I’ve been able to count on through my successes and failures (there’s a lot of burned cakes and cookies in my history). And it just makes me smile from ear to ear to have connected with Wilton and for them to share their generosity with me and all of you!
Before I get to that very generous giveaway, I’d love to share with you all of the beautiful cakes and desserts I’ve made in the last month using Wilton Ultragold Bakeware.

8″ round for sure, I make a devils food cake.
I would use the Wilton UltraGold 12×18×2 Sheet Cake Pan to make a praline layer cake. It is layers of pecan crust, caramel fudge, cool whip, and then covered with the fudge and pecans. YUMMY but not good for your waistline.

I would use the Wilton UltraGold 8 inch Round Cake Pan the most. I work full-time plus, seriously I have one of those crazy jobs where I’m attached to the phone & on call 24/7 & I do get called all the time. Therefore, my point is right now I pretty much stick to the basic out of the box standard cakes and a container of frosting. My oldest son, who is 7, has the best time in the world going crazy on the cake decorating. As long as he has fun, that’s what’s important to me. When I have more time, which my husband and I are working on this, I’d love to go crazy trying all kinds of new receipes. I really would love to be a better cook and baker. Right now, my mother in law is the master cook and baker in the family. I know for a fact that she’d put these Wilton pans to good use.

I would probably use a 9″ x 13″ cake pan most. I bake birthday cakes for everyone at work, so it would get a workout!
I mostly use a 9″ x 13″ pan. When I make birthday cakes, I usually use the round cake pan. I always make vanilla cake with real vanilla buttercream–all butter, shortening and margarine need not apply! In a pinch, it drives me crazy that I can’t find a bakery these days that still makes real buttercream. When I was a child, practically everything was baked with butter; and butter does make everything taste better! :)

I would be using the Wilton UltraGold 11 x 17 Inch Jelly Roll Pan the most. I have a from scratch recipe for a pumpkin roll that is beyond yummy. I made it a few years ago and by the proding of hubby have manipulated it into a strawberry roll, blueberry roll and peppermint roll. I guess I’m on a roll. Sorry, really bad, but true.

I’d say the 9″ cake pan as all the recipes in my cake cookbook typically call for 9″ pans. First cake would be chocolate with chocolate frosting – mmmm. Thanks, Maureen (jnomaxx at hotmail dot com)

I am super jealous of your Brimming With Roses Cake, and your torte makes me want to lick my screen.
My Bebe Boy James’ birthday is coming up – I’m going to make him THIS cake: http://www.wilton.com/idea/A-Party-In-Itself Isn’t it the coolest? I would definitely be using the 8″ round for that. I bake cakes a lot (although I’m not good with the making pretty flowers and roses thingy), so the 8″ round or the 9″ round would definitely get the most use! I’m also going to make my Not-So-Bebe Girl Autumn THIS cake: http://www.wilton.com/idea/Garden-Terraces-1 for HER birthday in July! I love the Wilton website; although my pocket is thinner, my cakes are looking better and better!
I would use the 12x18x2 pan…to make chocolate chip cake. It is heavenly. My mother-in-law (who makes it much better) gave me the recipe…it’s got lots of chocolate chips and a touch of cinnamon and it’s got a dusting of sugar on top…and it’s just wonderful. (especially warm with a glass of milk!!!)

I’d probably use the 8×8 square pan most often, not only for different dishes like casseroles, but especially for my zesty lemon cake recipe. It comes out so moist and rich and luscious, no need for layers, one layer is plenty. This size would be perfect for family use, and I could also make an extra one to take to work and share with my coworkers! :)

i would use the UltraGold 11×17 in. Jelly Roll Pan the most to make Texas Sheet Cake and Double Tree Chocolate Chip cookies… these are my two stand-by recipes. The first is a homemade cake and almost fudge like frosting…. it’s so rich that you want to make it in a jelly roll to cut into brownie size servings. The second is a recipe i googled (although i’m sure is not the exact hotel recipe): the unusual thing about this recipe is that it has lemon juice in it. These are the best chocolate chip cookies I have made.

I would use the 8 inch round the most because I love baking cakes! I just usually use the store bought, nothing homemade, but my fave is the Betty Crocker Cherry Chip cake mix and the Cherry icing! It is not available where I live anymore, so I have to order online :” It’s so worth it though!!

We decided cake decorating was something we both wanted to do. I have to tell you, its so great spending time in the kitchen with her…to see her creative side,,,its made us closer and I didn’t even think that was possible! The addition of a set of Wilton products for cooking/baking would add so many mroe enjoyable hours with her and would be sheer bliss! Thank you for this contest!

Round cake pans are the ones I use most for baking. Sheet cakes are fine, but layer cakes are so much prettier. My fave to bake is Italian Cream Cake (sans the coconut). So I guess that makes it more of a rich pecan cake with cream cheese icing. Yum! Would love new pans!

When I saw your giveaway I almost fell over and I totally squealed with glee! Wilton is THE BEST quality bake pans, and my favorite to use. I REALLY need new pans, and so this is just so perfect! My favorite pan that I use the most often is the 8″ square cake pan as it’s just perfect for a two person/two night dessert. 8 Inch round cake pan. I love to bake layered cake. My favorite one to make is a neopolitan cake that I created for my son’s first birthday last year. I’d probably use the 8″ square pan the most often, because it seems like it would be very versatile. If it were up to my DH, I’d make trifle every day. I make this delicious but totally PITA yellow cake, then I crumble it and add real whipped cream, fresh picked strawberries and vanilla pudding. Yum!
I would use the 8 inch Square Cake Pan. I have a recipe for Pineapple Upside Down Cake that my mother got from Dole. The cake is moist and delicious. I would make it.

I would use the round most often. I make (very amateur) birthday cakes. I love Wilton!

Wow, that cake with all the roses is gorgeous!!
I think I’d use the Wilton UltraGold 12×18×2 Sheet Cake Pan most often.
Thanks for the giveaway!
I forgot to mention in my prior comment that I’d probably make brownies in the wilton pan I said I’d use the most. I probably wouldn’t add nuts to the brownies, but I would put chocolate morsels on top!

I would use the 8×8 pan the most, and I would be making brownies with chocolate chip icing on them. Pure and simple that’s the way my family likes it :)

I would use the Wilton Ultragold 11×17 Jelly Roll Pan to make a TDF Banana Nut with Cream Cheese Frosting Roll. This is the BEST recipe ever and requires a GREAT pan to pull it off sucessfully:)
What a fabulous giveaway, I could REALLY use and update in this department. My current pans are all hand-me-downs!
Thanks Wilton and 3KaU~

I made wonderful Red Velvet cakes from scratch so the 8″ rounds would see the most use.
I use the 12×18×2 Sheet Cake Pan to make Pineapple Upside Down Cake

I would bake a chocolate cake with a vanilla frosting. My husband loves this and what he wants he gets as he then makes me happy. I would use the 8 inch square cake pan most.
