Weekend Things | Snow Days

This past weekend we got our first real snow storm. I spent most Friday doubting the snow would ever amount to anything but woke up Saturday morning to almost 7 inches of it on the ground.

7 inches of snow

Tink, our lab puppy, got to experience snow for the first time and boy did she have a ball out there!

While I was wandering around taking photos, I left hubby to do the shoveling. One of these years we might actual invest in a snow blower.

We even took the kids out to the park for a sledding adventure. This video is worth watching until the end. I had one heck of a crash landing that left me with a bruised butt and sore neck after hitting it on Emma’s leg at the end. Painful, but really funny.

Emma made a snow angel.

And hubby tried to get us shoveled out but Tink was just so darn excited she couldn’t stop getting tangled in his feet.

  1. I am so jealous! My three year old has yet to experience snow — I don’t need 7 inches. We would be happy with 2! :)

  2. I am so jealous of all the snow you have!! We were teased last week with a dusting. I want MORE!! Love your videos, I so would go sledding too, if we had the snow. I miss that!! Great pictures. Glad you all had a fun weekend!

  3. She is soooooooooooo cute! Simon loves the snow, Toby avoids it LOL.
We have a snow blower but it never gets used. I prefer to shovel because I like the exercise. That video of you going down the hill is PRICELESS.
Love the shot of Emma in the snow too!

    • Dogs are funny that way aren’t they? Labs are suppose to be water loving dogs but Tink goes into a fit every time I try to give her a bath. I guess we’ll find out this summer when we take her to the pond to see if she likes to swim or not. I see labs out there swimming all the time.
