Halloween is just about two weeks away and we’re gearing up for a fun holiday. We already got costumes for the kids and even one for myself. The real fun was shopping for costumes for the cats. Yep, I said it … costumes for the cats! Even though we can’t take them out trick-or-treating with us, we can still let them get in the Halloween fun. Well, actually it was probably more fun for us to dress them up than it was for them to be squished into a costume. Fortunately, we had a really good treat to entice them into wearing their costumes.
I was out doing my regular shopping at Walmart and picked up a few cans of Sheba wet cat food. For these kitties, it’s a real treat since they almost always eat dry food. I was surprised to find a good quality cat food that was at an affordable price but that wasn’t nearly as surprising as the wide eyed look on Miss Muffy’s face when she got stuffed into her bumblebee costume.
Fat Cat wasn’t too thrilled with his jack-o-lantern costume either but the second he smelled that cat food he didn’t seem to mind quite as much.
After we got home with the new Sheba cat food, I discovered that each can is made without grains or corn. And while my cats don’t appear to be picky, I’m sure they appreciate the wide variety of flavors. I bought a few different ones including: chicken, beef, turkey & giblets and mixed grill. There were also two different textures available, the pate (smooth) and cuts (chunky).
We put down the regular bowl of dry food next to the bowl of Sheba wet food and well … the choice was obvious. Fat Cat scarfed down most of the can of food before our other two kitties could even get a whiff.
