I can’t believe how fast these past 8 weeks flew by. While I had hoped for more weight loss, I’m not surprised that it didn’t happen. Committing yourself to daily workouts is very difficult while raising a family and running a blog full-time. I’ve learned a few things about myself during this journey…

1) I’m physically stronger than I had given myself credit for.
2) My lack of commitment is holding me back from successfully losing weight.

Even though I only managed to lose 4 lbs during my 8 week fitness challenge, I’m not stopping here. Since using the Total Gym XLS, I’ve seen improvements in my posture, endurance and physical strength. The weight loss … I can only hope follows as I learn to control my calorie intake better.

Week 1 Week 8
Weight: 182.8 lbs
Bust: 42″
Chest: 38″
Waist: 39″
Hips: 43″
Thighs: 26″
Upper Arm: 11 1/2″
Weight: 178.4 lbs
Bust: 41″
Chest: 37 1/2″
Waist: 37 1/2″
Hips: 42 1/2″
Thighs: 25 1/2″

The real question here is, after 8 weeks of using the Total Gym XLS would I buy it? YES! This is one of the most affordable, versatile and user friendly pieces of gym equipment I’ve ever used.

  1. Congrats, Cat! Those results are really great. I, too, know that to really see notable weight loss I would have to change my eating habits and “diet.” And, frankly, I’m just not there right now. I feel better when I work out and I know my body is stronger and for now that’s enough.

  2. Great job Cat!

  3. Great Job! Your numbes are changing that’s amazing! I find staying in a routine is very difficult but look at you, you did an amazing job. I’m really not great at inspirational words, but I’m trying to say, is I’m impressed. Keep up the great work Cat!!!!

  4. Congrats Cat!

Good for you for doing this. I am committed to weight loss, problem is that I can’t afford a gym, or excercise equipment at the current time.

My husban is deploying again in January. I want to be thin when he comes home 14 months later.

  8. Good for you Cat!

4 lbs is a great success in my opinion-And the fact that you want to continue just shows you ARE committed to losing weight! It just may take a little extra push from yourself to get it done {trust me, I KNOW}.

  9. Way to go! Congrats!! :)

  10. Benny says:

Wow, Congrats! You must be proud! And you’re making it look easy! :)

  11. Kudos to you for sticking to your workout plan. I envy your ability to work out at home. Unfortunately, I have never been able to do so. For some reason, I can’t work out at home. Luckily, our local park district has a very inexpensive gym that I work out at.
