I know I often complain that Illinois is a never ending land of cornfields and cows, but there is one thing that makes it worth living here for.
SNOW!!!!
If you happen to live in a part of the country that isn’t blessed with this powdery, white miracle, you are truly missing out. And of course, the FIRST snow fall of the year is always the best!
For day’s I have been anticipating its arrival since I first saw the forecast and there I sat, in the living room by the window just waiting, and waiting. By the time the first few flakes started floating down it was well past 10pm and the kids were already fast asleep. Even though my son begged me to come wake him up when it started snowing, I couldn’t. It was late and he had school in the morning. But I did catch it on video for him since it was mostly melted by morning.

I love when it snows, I get excited just like I did when I was 5.. Ha :)
I love snow. Unfortunately were in CA so it’s rare to get snow here :(
I saw your tweet last night about it coming and at 5:30a when the baby woke me up Screaming his dang head off I looked out the window and saw it coming down and I wanted to throw him out there in it. Shock factor >LOL

I love the sound and look of snow. The sounds you don’t hear when your are outside in the snow is amazing. I don’t like the kiddos and dogs tracking it in and don’t like having to go out in the dark every morning to shovel before kiddos start arriving. So I am definitely not looking forward to what is coming.
It snowed here in Ohio yesterday though only enough to lightly dust the cars. It was beautiful though and it’s one of the only reasons I LOVE winter here.
We’ve had our first snow here on Saturday, and I can’t say I greeted it with the enthusiasm that you did! I wish it was the last snow for the year. I could be much more enthusiastic about that.

I’m in Missouri and it’s supposed to snow here today! I HATE winter but I LOVE snow! I always say “if it’s gonna be this cold, it needs to snow!” It seems that if it snows, it’s not as cold LOL. Send that snow to me!
Even though I don’t like snow I do like watching it fall. And the first snow of the year is very beautiful…until I have to go somewhere and then I hate it. lol My kids can’t wait for snow. We’re supposed to get some tonight. We’ll see..

I’m freezing my little butt off here in TN, but I am eagerly looking for snow which we might get at the end of the week. Although I’m looking for it, I want it to go away the next day.
I love the snow. I just dont live the cold that comes with it. Right now we are having rain and freezing rain. not so fun!! It is supposed to turn into snow so I think that will be better. I am hoping for snow on Christmas Eve. THAT IS THE BEST!!
No snow here in Florida… and that is the way we LIKE it!! That is why we moved here from New England. We HATE snow and never want to see it again!
