Even with 600 plus channels on my television, I often find myself flipping from channel to channel, scanning past the mind numbing commercials and avoiding the made for the TV movies. I’m also not a fan of paying $3.99 to order a movie, even for movies that have been on DVD for over a decade. What I do enjoy is Roku!
What is Roku?
Roku is a little box that allows you to instantly stream entertainment on your TV. Watch movies and TV shows from Netflix, Hulu Plus or Amazon VOD, listen to music on Pandora, catch the latest ballgame, and more — it’s all available whenever you want it.
In a nutshell, with the Roku box, which easily connects to your television just as you would a VCR, you can access movies and most of your favorite tv shows without ever having to pay extra. If you already have a Netflix account, you can watch an unlimited number of movies for the monthly fee you’re already paying. Personally, I love the Roku because we have multiple televisions in our home. Our XBox360 already streams Netflix in our living room and with the Ruko in our bedroom, we can now access our Netflix there too!
Overall, the Roku is a great tool to have if you already have existing memberships with Netflix, need a second device in your home to stream movies or music or just want extra movie channels without the expense of premium networks with your cable provider.
