Monthly delivery programs seem to have become quite a popular thing these days. There’s a delivery service for just about anything and after months of wavering I finally picked a service that would be a good fit for me. Cravebox is one of the many but it’s unique in a way that each box is based around a rather random theme. For instance, there are some boxes coming up that include the Big Game box (football theme), Return to School box (back to school stuff) and Book Lovers box. Rather than getting boxes full of random stuff you get to pick the boxes that interest you most.
My first delivery was the Teen Time box, full of goodies that a teenage girl would love. After opening the surprise package I quickly found it’s full of things that moms would love too.
Inside the Teen Time Cravebox:
- Schick Intuition Tropical Splash Razor
- Pantene Silky Moisture Whip
- Mary Kay Nourishine Plus Lip Gloss (Pink Parfait)
- Fruit of the Earth Vitamin E Skin Care Oil
- Stride ID Spearmint Gum
Cost? $11 which included the shipping. Each Cravebox always cost between $10 and $15, with the shipping included.
So going through the products the first one I tried out was the Mary Kay Nourishine Lip Gloss in Pink Parfait. The color is crazy bright but something a teen girl would love. When it’s applied the color is more subdued since it’s a gloss rather than lipstick. It’s very shiny and moisturizing, but not long lasting.
My favorite of all the products is the Pantene Silky Moisture Whip. It comes out of the can like whipped cream and gets brushed through your hair while it’s still damp after a shower. The whip is lightweight and hardly noticeable. What I did notice is that after I dried my hair it had a lot more fluff and a softer texture.
I’m still undecided on the Schick Intuition Razor. It comes with a bar wrapped around the blade and claims there’s no need to use shave gel but I disagree. Yes, the bar creates a light lather and glides smoothly over the skin but I still felt the need to add shaving cream to protect my sensitive skin. Would I buy this? Yes, I think so, I like how soft my legs feel after using it.
My least favorite product was the Fruit of the Earth Vitamin E Oil. It’s meant to be used lightly as a moisturizer on the face, lips and throat. It feels as thick and tacky as honey. Even a few drops leaves my skin feeling sticky but it does feel nice on dry lips. I won’t put it on my face again though.
The final product is the Stride ID gum. It comes in cute packaging and loads of flavor that lasts quite awhile. It’s definitely something to keep in your purse.
