We made our annual trip down the street to the sweet corn festival hosted in our little town just a few hours ago. While we tried not to let the overwhelming amount of Japanese beetles buzzing our heads and sweltering heat ruin our fun, we ended up cutting out pretty quickly.
I’m really kicking myself for not bringing the camera out with us. As we sat down in the tent to gnaw on some sweet corn our little girl decided she wanted a big bite of it and snatched up an ear of corn as long as her arm and proceeded to chomp into it like a beaver. It was picture perfect, her chubby cheeks creepy over the edge of corn, in her little blue jean overalls, the only thing missing was a straw hat and my camera. She had the whole table of ladies behind us just giggling over her over sized appetite.
