April is National Youth Sports Safety Month – I teamed up with SAFESKIN® Kids Sport Wrap to bench the beige of traditional sports wraps for my kids. For many parents, this is a busy time of the year with Spring sports for kids. The temperature is warming up, kids are ready to get outside and get active, it’s a good time to think about sports safety. Injuries are always on my mind especially as I watched my son get pounded into the ground time and time again during Fall football.

While packing the gym bag for practice we always kept some basics on hand including: an extra jersey, bandages, snacks, a water bottle and baby wipes (great for quick wipe down when it’s hot). This year we’ll also be adding a roll of SAFESKIN Kids Sports Wrap to our bag. One little roll in your bag is helpful for immediately wrapping a sprain or strain before visiting the doctor.

SAFESKIN® Kids Sport Wrap offers kids the superior support needed to get back in the game with bright, fun colors that highlight team spirit and self-expression – not the boring, dull beige wraps adults use.

My son, being the tough kid he is, spends most of the Spring and Summer months playing football practice games with his team mates – sans padding, which results in more minor injuries than I’d like. He’s also at that age where everything he wears is a fashion statement of sorts. If he must wear a wrist wrap, it has to match his “Titan Red” team colors which is why SAFESKIN Sports Wrap is a great choice. Available in red, yellow, green and blue, your child can be wrapped up in style and bright colors.

SAFESKIN® Kids Sport Wrap is excellent for first aid applications like securing bandages or splints and protecting and cushioning wounds.* Aside from sports injuries we like the SAFESKIN for our toddler daughters who frequently come inside with scuffed knees. The wrap is self-adhesive and easily covers up knee bandages so our daughter can get back on her wheels and go. The soft, stretchy material allows her to pedal without restricting movement. Now if I could just convince her to wear shoes while riding we’d have a few less scrapes to deal with.

If you’ve got a child or two playing in sports this year, you’ll want to grab a roll. SAFESKIN® Kids Sport Wrap can be purchased at Walmart for $3.94. You can also visit SAFESKIN on Facebook to download and print a coupon to save on your purchase.
