Our Experience
It’s common knowledge, I’m a huge Twilight movie fan. I bought and read the book series in less than a week, have seen the Twilight movie about 3 dozen times in the last few months and crave all things Twilight. When I found out there was a new Scene It? Twilight available, I was more than happy to try this game out and share my thoughts with my fellow vampire fans.
The Scene It? Twilight Deluxe DVD game comes with a number of parts and pieces including:
- game board featuring movie characters Edward Cullen and Bella Swan
- 30 Fate Cards that can send you wherever fate takes you on the game board
- game DVD with shuffle feature voiced by Carlyle Cullen
- 4 metal tokens – Bella’s truck, the house, a baseball and Edward’s piano
- 100 Trivia Cards - packed with a few questions that even stumped me
- 6 sided die – for rolling your way through the game board
- 8 sided die – decides how you play, fate card, trivia or DVD challenge
What I liked about this game more than anything was it was so much fun having the DVD challenges. While trivia questions are okay, the DVD brings you clips from the movie and tests your knowledge on character quotes, scene order, character traits and some fun stuff thrown in like the baseball shuffle. It’s a really fun way to start a family movie night and end it with a family game night for the older kids.
This particular game is reccomened for ages 13 and up but since our son has watched the movie, he was able to play along and probably had more fun than anyone. As a special bonus, there’s a New Moon trailer included in the DVD to get game players pumped up for the next movie release that will hit store shelves March 20th!
When you’ve had enough fun for one night, the game pieces, cards, board and DVD all fit nicely right back into the slots to keep everything organized.
Overall, this Twilight DVD game was a huge hit in our house. As Twilight movie lovers, we’ve already played the game a dozen times in the past week and haven’t run into a duplicate question yet. My only true complaint is how quickly the game ends. If a player rolls a high dice number often, they can reach the Twilightening Rounds in just a few turns. On the upside, this twilight trivia game comes with a section on the DVD full of minigames and plenty of trivia questions from the movie to keep the fun going.

I’m not a fan of Twilight, but I have always wondered about the Scene it games…it looks like ALOT Of fun…going to have to pick up one of the versions..thanks!
I’m a HUGE fan of Twilight! I’ve never played “Scene It” before and I think this would be great for one of my “Twilight” parties! I’m thinking of throwing one next month for the New Moon DVD release…this would certainly make it more fun!
EEEEEEEEEEEEEK!!!!!!!
I. WANT. IT
OMG. You are my hero for posting about this :D
I would add that the worst part about the game is that it’s only about the first movie. Other Scene Its are great because there’s a broad range of topics, even the first Harry Potter game tested you on like the first three movies, then the second edition was an update. I too wasn’t a fan of the reduced board size.
Thanks for the awesome review! I’m glad you and the family are enjoying it.
