Lately I’ve had this ridiculously intense craving for a banana cream pie. That’s pretty much the only reason I had to make these push pops. It’s all the yumminess of a banana cream pie in a less messy way. You get all of the flavors of the banana cream pie piled in layers inside a Wilton treat pop that you can just push up and you munch.
And if you’re making these for a special occasion they’re pretty too!
As seen above …. to make these you just want to layer the treat pop tubes with cake, banana pudding, chopped bananas, Cool Whip, repeat and then sprinkle with crush Nilla Wafers. Now I use to just use a mini muffin pan for the cake but if you use Wilton’s Mini Whoopie Pie Pan you get perfectly sized cake discs to slide into the tubes. On a side note, bake the cake at a lower temperature like 300 or 315 degrees F. It keeps them from forming domes.
