In an experiment to try the lighter side of chicken nuggets we used Progresso’s panko, a flaky bread crumb which adds a light crispiness to your food. The end result, crispy chicken nuggets without all of the added weight of traditional bread crumbs.
Ingredients You’ll Need:
- 8 boneless skinless chicken breast tenders
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 cup flour
- 1 cup of Progresso Panko Bread Crumbs
- salt and pepper
Let’s Get Cooking:
Step 1 – Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F
Step 2 – In 3 bowls, add your flour, milk and panko crumbs in individual bowls in that order.
Step 3 – Cut the chicken strips into 1 inch chunks and season with salt and pepper
Step 4 – Dust each chicken chunk with flour, dusting off excess flour then quickly dip it in the milk and roll it in the panko crumbs
Step 5 – Place chicken chunks in a single layer on a greased baking sheet and bake 20 minutes.
