A few weeks ago I was in Kohls looking for some new pantry canisters. My storage was basically flour bags, sugar bags and everything else piled randomly around my pantry.
I originally went in to get the OXO pop containers but then got distracted by the Food Network version (with better features) that were on sale and priced about the same as OXO’s containers. So I picked up a few that I knew would be the perfect size for my needs. Unfortunately I realized that I use about 6 different types of flour and most of them look exactly alike. In these containers I’d never be able to tell the difference between them.
That’s when I decided to browse Etsy for some pantry container label ideas. What I found was the cutest assortment of chalkboard labels. The JenMarie shop offers these in several sizes and shapes, pretty much any kind you could ever want or need.
They work just like traditional peel-and-stick labels, perfect for the front of plastic containers.
What makes them special is they use a unique chalkboard material that you can write on with chalk or a chalk pen, wipe away and use again.
The end result …. pure prettiness for the pantry.
And I adore the chalkboard markers. They use liquid chalk that goes on smoothly and wipes away with a damp cloth.
