Every year the holidays give us the opportunity to spend quality time with our families, enjoy family feasts and reflect on the memories of the passing year. To preserve those memories, we keep photo albums full of every event in our lives, plus the forgotten moments in between.
This year, rather than waste my valuable home printer ink, we visited an HP Instant Print Kiosk located inside our local Wal-Mart, which was conveniently placed just outside the photo lab. The first thing I noticed was that there were actually four kiosks available so you don’t feel rushed while editing your photos.
I was able to easily load my SanDisk card into the media slot and was shown the three photos I wanted to make prints with. The touchscreen made it easy to navigate the menus where I was able to choose photo sizes, view pricing, select quantities and even add creative touches to the photos.
One of the options you have is to create photo greeting cards at a reasonable rate and choose the exact quantity you need. Another idea, which I chose, is to add borders to photos for gift giving. There are a number of holiday themed borders and more traditional styles as well.
The photos I printed took approximately 6 minutes to print and as you can see, came out with amazing quality, far better than my home printer has ever produced.
In the spirit of preserving memories, I printed three of my favorite photos from 2010 in the 8 x 10 size to frame and give as gifts to our children’s grandparents.
