I’m not typically a procrastinator by nature but when it comes to getting things done around the holidays I tend to drag my feet. The one thing I always forget is to buy the kids holiday outfits and schedule a family photo for Christmas. Here it is the first week of December and I’ve done neither of the mentioned things.
Hoping I could just skip the matchy-matchy clothes and dragging the kids into the portrait studio, I thought I’d dig through my personal photos and see if I could find a few to use for a Christmas card. Instead of smiles and twinkling eyes, I got a pile of pictures that you most definitely won’t see on our family Christmas cards.

Actually, I think these pictures would be the best – they show your kids’ true selves – their fun side – and candid pictures are my favorite! Good luck with trying to get the “right” shot for your cards. Me, I started doing Happy New Year Cards a few years ago and it totally cut down on “some” of my Holiday stress!

My opinion is I would love to get these on a Christmas card. sure brings a smile. Those “picture perfect posed” cards are nice but I would rather get ones like this. Thanks! I enjoyed them1

I love funny photos on cards! My sister used a photo of her kids all jumping into the pool for the Christmas card. It was soo cute!

Too funny (and cute)! I had to check this out, since I ordered and picked up our Christmas cards today (the earliest I’ve ever done this; last year I didn’t even send any out!). I used 2 snapshots of each of the kids with their highlights of the year, and I thought they turned out great. Unfortunately, my son hates his pictures and is now wanting me to re-do the cards that I send to his friends’ families!

Hahahaha! On the contrary, I think these would be GREAT Christmas card photos! And don’t worry, I just made mine – I was waiting for our engagement photos to be taken so that I could use one of them for the card.
