Who’s ready for some football? Around these parts the kids are gearing up for the Fall football season. For the last two weeks our son has been hitting the field and learning all about the game. This is his first year and I think we’re as excited as he is. Although my heart may skip a beat the first time I see him get tackled. No mom is ever ready to see her kid get pummeled by someone. However, I’ll put my mommy instincts aside and be there to cheer him on for his first game in a few weeks.

I have given you a blog award please come by and pick it up. Jackie Paulson~

  2. Bobbie says:

    I love his facial expressions!

  3. Let’s go! (I love football.)

  4. He looks ready to go! I grew up in a big football town so I know all about the getting ready!

  5. He looks tough! :)

As far as sports go, I think football is the most entertaining to watch but probably more so when it isn’t your kid getting tackled. Sigh…

  6. I’m glad he made up for the intimidation of the first shot with that super sweet last one. He’s a handsome boy!

  7. Looks like you won’t need to take the “official” sports pictures. You did a great job already.

Your little BIG man is all grown up…and handsome. I hope he has a great season. I love sports!!

    • I was thinking that myself. Why drop $40+ for those when I can take some decent ones. Of course those are in his practice jersey, I’m sure I’ll get more throughout the year.

  8. He is such a doll and I just love his “game face” in the first photo!

  9. He totally looks cool all decked out in his football gear. Hope he has a good time with it.

  10. I love his expression in the first one! I wouldn’t dare try getting past him! I love football – what position is he playing?!

    • I think Jon said “right center” but don’t hold me to that because I don’t even know what it means. Beyond a quarterback and receiver I’m clueless. LOL

  11. Oh I love the pictures Cat…he looks so ruthless!

    • What makes that statement so funny is that he’s probably the most gentle kid on the team. We’ve got to retrain him after years of “no hitting, never hit back” put into his head.

  12. Love the first picture!

  13. I can not WAIT to get my son into football! I’m a huge NFL fan and I’m sure being a football mom is awesome!! A few more years left for me to wait.

  14. Love the “tough” face! Great pictures and a built in halloween costume?;)

  15. Linda says:

I have been a football mom for 8 years now .. and yes watching him take a hard hit can be tough on us Mom’s but it is so AWESOME when he is doing the hitting HA HA :) My son has played defense since he began .. and a very proud football Mom :) He plays for Mr. Mike Minter (a former Carolina Panther) and we are getting him ready for college and a shot at the NFL ! He is such a great boy .. its helped him stay focused and keep out of trouble as well !

  16. Great pictures! You have a good looking athlete there.

  17. I love the first picture – all tough!

  18. Look at that face!! He’s so scary LOL

  19. Grrrrrrrrrrrr!

  20. He looks like he loves the game, which is awesome!

  21. Anne - Mommy Has to Work says:

I so do not want my son to plat tackle football!! lol I’ll probably loss that battle soon, though.

  22. Such great photos! His poses are amazing… I LOVE the first one and his smile in the last one is gorgeous.
