Who’s ready for some football? Around these parts the kids are gearing up for the Fall football season. For the last two weeks our son has been hitting the field and learning all about the game. This is his first year and I think we’re as excited as he is. Although my heart may skip a beat the first time I see him get tackled. No mom is ever ready to see her kid get pummeled by someone. However, I’ll put my mommy instincts aside and be there to cheer him on for his first game in a few weeks.

    He looks tough! :)

As far as sports go, I think football is the most entertaining to watch but probably more so when it isn’t your kid getting tackled. Sigh…

Looks like you won’t need to take the “official” sports pictures. You did a great job already.

Your little BIG man is all grown up…and handsome. I hope he has a great season. I love sports!!

I was thinking that myself. Why drop $40+ for those when I can take some decent ones. Of course those are in his practice jersey, I’m sure I’ll get more throughout the year.

I love his expression in the first one! I wouldn’t dare try getting past him! I love football – what position is he playing?!

I think Jon said “right center” but don’t hold me to that because I don’t even know what it means. Beyond a quarterback and receiver I’m clueless. LOL

What makes that statement so funny is that he’s probably the most gentle kid on the team. We’ve got to retrain him after years of “no hitting, never hit back” put into his head.

I can not WAIT to get my son into football! I’m a huge NFL fan and I’m sure being a football mom is awesome!! A few more years left for me to wait.

I have been a football mom for 8 years now .. and yes watching him take a hard hit can be tough on us Mom’s but it is so AWESOME when he is doing the hitting HA HA :) My son has played defense since he began .. and a very proud football Mom :) He plays for Mr. Mike Minter (a former Carolina Panther) and we are getting him ready for college and a shot at the NFL ! He is such a great boy .. its helped him stay focused and keep out of trouble as well !
