These days there are a lot of options when it comes to social networks and while most of those are very and quite social, there’s a new service called clipix that lets you take it a step further and organize your life online, visually.
Clipix let’s you take a snippet of any webpage you visit online and organize your favorite images and ideas onto boards. For example, I recently created a Clipix board to organize recipe ideas for our family’s Spring Cookout.
Every time I found a recipe I thought would be great for the picnic I just used the clipix bookmarklet to save the image, url and a description of the recipe to my Spring Cookout board.
This is a great way to save your favorite recipes, put together clothing collections or even share a board of wish list gifts for friends and family to get an idea of things you like. Another fun idea I had is to use a board for saving ideas of places I’d like to vacation with my family and even take it a step further to organize activities for our Disney vacation next year.
The great thing about using Clipix is the privacy settings allow you to decide whether you want your boards seen by only yourself, friends public. You can even share them with friends on Facebook and Twitter.
Check out this quick video on how to use the Clipix service.
I’d love to hear what ideas you have for using Clipix! Leave a comment and tell me what boards you’ve created or plan to create.
