Last week I got a pretty awesome delivery that included products from the new Wilton Cupcakes line. As you might have guessed, it’s all about cupcakes. They’re one of the easiest treats to make and full of so many decorating possibilities. They’re also the one dessert I can make that allows me to have some self-control when it comes to eating them. Anytime I make cupcakes for fun I always do a half or quarter batch so there’s just enough to enjoy as a little dessert.
Out of all the new products the one that caught my eye right away was the new square baking cups and square brownie baking pan. Traditional round cupcakes are fun and all but these are so cute and different.
The new cupcake liners come in bright and bold colors, but there are still some elegant designs like the black and white cups I used for these Black Forest Brownie Squares. I even pulled out the Dessert Decorator Pro that my husband bought me for Christmas to do a pretty border design with the frosting. I honestly thought that little machine would be complicated but it’s actually easier than using a pastry bag with a tip. The handle helps you control the pressure.
To make these Black Forest Brownie Bites all you’ll need is your favorite brownie recipe, some buttercream frosting, a can of cherry pie filling, the dessert decorator pro, the Wilton 12 cavity square brownie pan and some square cupcake liners.
