Mom Fashion Find | A Little Country, A Lot of Cute

I’ve never been huge into fashion, at least not since I became a mom. The last decade of my life has been sloppy ponytails, basic tees, sneakers and Old Navy jeans. Comfy, casual (and blah) is how I’d describe my fashion style. It sounds as pathetic as I’ve looked.

Well, ever since I’ve started losing weight (down 24 pounds as of today) I’ve been feeling the urge to stop with the mom clothes and find my inner fashionista. There was a time I owned shoes for every outfit and had an actual wardrobe that filled my closet. These days not so much. So I’m on the hunt for clothes that fit my style while still maintaining comfort. I need to be able to walk the mall and do household chores in the same outfit.

This set is totally me with lots of pink, the comfort of jeans and sneakers but a little diva and cuteness thrown in.

Yep, got the bag and similar jeans. I want that particular pair but haven’t found them in the right length yet. I’m poking in Maurice’s today to see if I can get my hands on that top.

Good for you trying to dress to make yourself feel good! I’m stuck in that comfortable-blah rut myself, but it doesn’t help that the only place I go daily, if I’m lucky, is out to the front room and kitchen o.O

And of course congratulations on losing 24 lbs! That’s an incredible accomplishment :)

I’ve found that even dressing up for just myself improves my mood. You’d be surprised how great it feels to shed the jammies and put on something decent just to walk out to the mailbox.
