Every once in awhile I come across and iPhone or iPad app that my kids completely fall in love with. My personal iPhone 4s is already loaded with all kinds of games and interactive apps that my daughters play with on a daily basis. One of the newest downloads to my app gallery is the Muppets Band-Aid Magic Vision App.

Nothing is quite more exciting for a kid than interacting with their favorite characters and of course, who wouldn’t LOVE the Muppets?

This app is very easy for even the youngest of kids to use. My 3 year old understood almost immediately. After clicking Kermit’s big “Start the Show” sign above you’re introduced to two options. You can either point your iPhone or iPad camera at any Muppets Band-Aid or box and the camera will almost instantly detect it. Or, if you don’t have a Band-Aid handy you can still access some of the features.

However, I really want you to have fun with this app like my kids did so just scan the Band-Aid below with your iPhone or iPad.

Now the real fun begins. After the Band-Aid is scanned your child is given the option of interacting with 3 different Muppets characters including: Kermit, Miss Piggy and Gonzo. With each character you get singing, swing and plenty of chatter. The best part is you can move the characters with your device and even take pictures with each of the characters.

Our little Emma is of course a Kermit the Frog fan so she was giggling along while he was singing and swing.

Kaydee is our Miss Piggy fan, attitude and all, blowing kisses as Missy Piggy asks you to snap photos.

All of the photos you take with the app are stored in a photo gallery where you can email them to family or save them to your phone.

Want to check out the Band-Aid Magic Vision app? It’s FREE in iTunes and can be downloaded to your iPhone 4, 4s or iPad 2 and the “new” iPad.

I wrote this review while participating in a campaign by Mom Central Consulting on behalf of Band-Aid Brand Adhesive Bandages and received a promotional item to thank me for my participation.
