Kaydee Turns 5 with a Disney Brave Birthday Party

After seeing the new Disney Brave movie when it opened, little Miss Kaydee has been talking about it ever since. She slowly built up a collection of every Brave and Merida toy she could find and now, as if all that wasn’t enough, she had to have a Brave birthday party. It suited her perfectly since she’s my curly headed, strong willed, rebellious little girl that loves all things blue and purple. We even let her dress up as Merida complete with a red-haired Merida wig and Merida Princess costume.

We set up the table with party decorations found at Party City and Walmart. You wouldn’t believe how difficult it is to find Braved themed stuff right now.

Before cake and ice cream she dove into her presents, the really big one being an Apple iPod Shuffle. This girl loves music and dancing so I knew it would be the perfect gift for her. Plus it keeps her hands off my iPhone which she keeps dropping all over the house.

For the cake, we found the only place that had one with a Brave theme was Walmart. While I usually prefer to make the cake myself, this was just so much easier since it’s 90+ degrees outside. Turning on the oven just wasn’t gonna happen.

After the cake, homemade sorbet (thanks mom!) and presents we let the kids loose into the pool and bounce house to cool off. It was pretty much the perfect birthday and I managed to keep the house semi-clean and stress-free.

OH my gosh, that is an awesome birthday party! I LOVE the outfit too, I just took my daughter Saturday night to watch Brave and your little girl looks just like her in the first picture with her costume all on! Happy Birthday to your little girl!

LOL me, overdo myself? ha! Okay, maybe a little but it really was the most relaxing party we’ve had to date. I didn’t do any cooking or baking.

Looks like an awesome party. Love the costume. That red hair really makes this character (and your little girl) stand out from all the Disney girls. Can’t wait until my little one is old enough to appreciate a theme.

OMG this is beautiful, you really went all out. I love it. I wish you were my mom…and Liam Neeson was my dad, but that’s another post all together. ;)

I live in virginia and my daughter REALLLY wants a Brave birthday party. However, no walmarts or grocery stores have the toppers. The bakery manager at walmart said if I could find out what walmart you got your design from that they could get one for us! Is there anyway your could share that information please?
