I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Boys & Girls Clubs of America. I received a promotional item as a thank you for participating.
Back to school season is in full swing around here. We have less than three weeks until our kids first day of school. We have quite a few stores on our must-shop list but at the top of our list is JC Penney. Not only do they have a great selection brand name clothes that my kids love but during the month of July you’ll be offered the option to round up your purchase to the nearest whole dollar at the register. This option is available whether you’re shopping at JC Penney in store or online at JCP.com.
Every month JCP Cares supports a new partner and during the month of July your “round up at the register” donation will go to the Boys & Girls Club of America. All of those pennies, nickels, dimes and quarters really add up to support such amazing programs for kids. So far in July this partnership has raised over $600,000. It’s a fast and easy way to support much needed programs and makes it easy to balance your own checkbook too. Win-win!
Where does the money go?
100% of the round up at the register donations go to the Boys & Girls Club of America to support one of their many programs. Currently they offer programs for education, character, leadership, life skills, arts, sports, fitness and more. These programs are often the door between a child in trouble and a child on the path to a bright future. Many kids are left unsupervised after school between 3pm – 7pm when juvenile crime escalates. These clubs are located in public schools, public housing, inner cities, rural areas, places where they’re needed most!
