Each product is truly unique and not something you’ll find in your typical grocery store. The first set of grocery products I sampled was the Giada De Laurentiis for Target Marinated Sun Dried Tomatoes ($3.49), Marinated Roasted Red Peppers ($3.49) and Marinated Mushrooms ($3.49). Each one is an affordable price for the average home cook and ready to use in whatever chef-inspired dish you want to create at home. The Giada De Laurentiis for Target 3-Piece Plastic Bowl Set with Pour Spouts ($19.99) makes preparing a side dish easy and beautiful while you’re doing it.
The sun dried tomatoes gave this Olive and Sun Dried Tomato Vegetables side dish recipe a nice flavor that even my kids enjoyed. Out of the jar they’re not the prettiest product but in the dish …. mmmmm, gorgeous!
In addition to the grocery products, my personal favorite, the bakeware is simply designed with soft curves and white, giving food the chance to really stand out without distracting patterns or texture. The Giada De Laurentiis for Target 9” Ceramic Pie Pan ($16.99) worked perfectly for the holiday eggnog custard pie I baked last week. The crust came out as golden brown on the bottom as it did on top.
One thing to take note of is that the bakeware should be handled carefully. The Giada De Laurentiis for Target 2-Quart Ceramic Oval Baker ($19.99) seen above needed to be replaced due to a breakage during the shipping process. It’s worth mentioning that you should store them with proper precautions.
My favorite product from the grocery line was the Giada De Laurentiis for Target Black Olive Tapenade ($2.99), a food product that was completely new to me. As a lover of black olives, I can say I will most definitely be buying more of this in the future. I used a recipe from Giada De Laurentiis to create these gorgeous appetizers and will be serving them to my family during our Christmas Eve dinner.
| Holiday Cooking with Giada De Laurentiis | Tomato Olive Tartlet Recipe |
|
- 1 (10-by-9-inch) sheet frozen puff pastry, thawed
- 1/3 cup Giada De Laurentiis for Target Black Olive Tapenade
- 1 cup (2 1/2 ounces) shredded fontina cheese
- 8 cherry tomatoes, quartered
- 6 basil leaves, chopped
- Fleur de Sel or other large flake sea salt
- Place an oven rack in the center of the oven. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Place the pastry on a lightly floured work surface. Using the tines of a fork, prick the pastry all over. Using a 2 1/4-inch round cookie cutter, cut out 16 rounds of pastry. Place the pastry rounds on the prepared baking sheet. Lay a piece of parchment paper on top of the pastry rounds. Place another baking sheet directly on top of the parchment paper to keep the pastry even while baking. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes until golden. Remove the top baking sheet and the top piece of parchment paper.
- Spread 1 teaspoon of tapenade on each pastry round. Place about 1 tablespoon of cheese on top. Arrange 2 pieces of tomato on the cheese. Bake for 5 to 7 minutes until the cheese has melted. Sprinkle the chopped basil on top.
- Transfer the tartlets to a platter and garnish with a pinch of Fleur de Sel.

I’d definitely try the tapenade, and that looks like a fairly quick buy fancy enough little recipe

Your food porn makes my mouth water! Yum!
This is definitely a recipe for me. I am an olive fanatic and love to mix them with appetizers. I have never tried the Giada De Laurentis products. I obviously need to start browsing the yummier sections of my Target. :)
I have to say that for $3, her tapenade is an incredible bargain. We put it out with tapas in the evening, and it’s a huge hit.
