Every April there’s two big projects I take on. First we tackle Spring cleaning the garage to get rid of excess junk that has taken over space during the winter months and second, we tackle indoor cleaning. This usually means I spend at least one day in every room of the house removing old stuff, packing away winter clothes, dusting and washing the windows.
This year I’m getting a little organization from Fellowes, the makers of the Bankers Box. If this is a new-to-you product you should know it’s a stackable home storage solution with a heavy-duty triple wall cardboard material that’s ideal for indoor use. And they have quite a pretty design too!
I’ll be sharing more about the Bankers Box product in the coming weeks as I use them to tackle Spring cleaning projects big and small throughout the house. For now, I need to focus on the actual to-do list, which is quite hefty.
Should the weather actually warm up like it’s suppose to this month, I’ll be starting in my son’s walk-in closet. This is the space that everyone uses to drop off their excess junk along the top shelf and of course all of the kid’s clothes are hung here. The plan of attack is to dispose of the stuff no one needs and pack away long-sleeved winter clothes for next year.
I also have a hall closet (also known as the cat’s room) that should be used for storing cleaning tools and what not but right now the shelves are stacked with everything that doesn’t have a place anywhere else in the house. Meaning …. more stuff that we probably just need to get rid of or pack away neatly until it is needed. I’m also hoping the Bankers Box will be strong enough to hold all of my cookbooks that are stacked throughout the house.
