Apple Raisin Tart with Ben & Jerry’s Vanilla Ice Cream

Holiday desserts are one of my favorite things about the holiday season. It’s the one time of year I don’t feel bad indulging in the sweeter things in life. One of those sweet things is apple pie! No matter how you make it, what kind of apples you use or even what unique flavors you make it with, one thing is certain, it always tastes better with ice cream.

This holiday season I’ll be sharing my scrumptious Cinnamon Apple Raisin Tart with my family and by itself, it’s a lovely little dessert with a sweet, crunchy crust, tart apples coated in cinnamon sugar and topped with plump little raisins.

You might even be surprised to learn that even though Ben & Jerry’s is known for their funky and chunky flavor concoctions, the Vanilla ice cream, which is smooth and rich in flavor, was the first one they developed.
