Almost every year the family Christmas dinner is hosted at my house. In our family we like to trade holiday dinners between my mom, my sister and I. Somehow Christmas always rotates to me. Not that I mind, I love cooking a family dinner but I find myself getting extremely stressed in the weeks leading up to Christmas. We have so many family activities planned, decorating, shopping, wrapping and added to my list is prepping the menu for the dinner and desserts.

This year I’m determined not to let the stress get to me. As always I’m living in organized chaos as I like to call it but really it’s most chaos. A prime example is my spice and edible decorations cabinet …

messy spice cabinet

This cabinet is the hub of my home. It’s where every meal and dessert starts and it’s a complete mess. When I’m cooking or baking, I scramble to dig through the cabinet to find exactly what I need. Rather than continue to deal with this headache I have a new organizational tool to get my kitchen in order in time for the holidays.

In the next few days I’m going to pull everything out of that cabinet and put the Brother P-Touch Labeling System to work so I can make sure every section of this cabinet is organized from top to bottom. Every bottle will have a spot of it’s own so I can easily find it while I’m cooking and baking.

Why use the Brother P-Touch?

  • One-touch keys – quickly access fonts, symbols, frames and patterns
  • Graphical Display – see how your label will look!
  • 8 professional fonts for label variety
  • Uses laminated, “TZe” tapes up to 12mm wide – great for indoor or outdoor use
  • Includes more than 600 symbols and 97 frames
  • 12 Deco Mode patterns, plus 6 name badge designs
  • Print 1 or 2 lines of text
  • Split-back labels for easy peel and stick

If you’re like me and feeling a little disorganized this holiday season, be sure to visit the Brother P-Touch tab on Facebook where you can join the holiday organization discussion, find tips and perhaps learn a few ways to make your life less chaotic.

For now, I’ve got a cabinet to work on and I’ll share my results in a few weeks.

*I wrote this review while participating in a campaign by Mom Central Consulting on behalf of Brother P-Touch and received a product sample to facilitate my review as well as a promotional item to thank me for my participation.

  1. I’m excited to see how you organize it. My cupboards are such a mess and I think it’s partly due to the fact that I don’t have a lot of space and I don’t know how to organize. I like your spices on the side of the cupboard, that’s nice!

  2. I have been wanting a label maker for some time now. I think the kitchen would be one of the first places I would start with it!!

  3. I love my Brother-P Touch labeler! I can’t wait to see how you use it. Maybe I will garner some inspiration.
