I mentioned we’re doing a Strawberry Shortcake themed birthday party for Emma’s 4th birthday. Well, Party City loaded us up with all kinds of supplies including a bulk packages of Brach’s strawberry candies. I thought they would be perfect for “Thank You Berry Much for Coming to my Party” treat bags for our guests. These are fairly easy to make and only require a few supplies including: printer, paper, card stock, clear treat bags, glue sticks and candy.

DIY Strawberry Shortcake Birthday Party Treat Bags

You can make your own labels like I did or you can download the Strawberry Shortcake “Thank You Berry Much” labels here. Just print the image onto 8.5″ x 11″ paper or card stock. These are sized for 4″ x 6″ treat bags that you can find at any craft store in the baking supplies section.

I thought it would make these even prettier by adding some Strawberry Shortcake themed card stock as the background. I found little packs of 4 x 6 cards bundled at Michael’s craft store. I even got lucky and found some with strawberries mixed in. These are cut to 4″ wide and 3-3/4″ tall.

Strawberry Shortcake Cardstock

You can put whatever you want inside the treat bags. We went with these cute little wrapped Brach’s strawberry candies. Party City sent us a GIGANTIC bag of these that are perfect for party favor bags or even to fill up a pinata.

So to make these you’ll want to cut out the Strawberry Shortcake labels, cut the card stock and fold it in half. I used a glue stick to attach the label to one side of the card. Then fill up the treat bag with about 8 pieces of the candy. Next, apply the glue stick to the inside of the card stock, especially around the edges and wrap it over the top of the treat bag. It might even be easier to use a stapler but I didn’t have one on hand. (why do I not own a stapler?)

When the glue has dried you’ve got yourself the cutest little party favor bags that are perfect for a Strawberry Shortcake birthday party!
