24 Weeks

It's been a few weeks since I've done a pregnancy update...mostly because this pregnancy is uneventful, and for that I'm thankful. I've made it to 24 weeks, just a few weeks shy of my third trimester. A baby at this stage is estimated to be around 1 lb, but I'm guessing this little one is a little plumper. My husband and I tend to make big babies even though my belly always measures on target. I'd probably faint if I ever had a baby that was less … [Read more...]

Trick or Treating 2008

Woah! This year was....slow to say the least. We live in a small community so door to door really isn't a problem here. Unfortunately we also live in a developing neighborhood so the houses to trick or treat at are scarce. So for my preggo toosh it was a long, hard walk that only lasted about 2 blocks. Luckily, I have a great husband that took our son out for another hour after I gave up and the kids got a busload of candy! Eek..sugar rush! Here's … [Read more...]

Flashback Friday – Track Girl 1998

Step into my time machine for a short trip back to the fall of 1998. I was a sophomore in high school and joined the track team for my second year, which was also my last. As much as I loved the rush of being a sprinter I wanted to try something new. I gave up my wind breaker and short shorts for a new "sport"..but we'll save that for another Friday. I had a love for all sports and was pretty good with just about everything I tried, but running … [Read more...]

Bee Happy

I was so excited today...in fact it was the best part of this terrible day. I got the call from Olan Mills that our portrait package had arrived. Kaydence and I jumped in the car to go pick them up. Here is a sneak preview of one of her poses...You know what would make this day even better? A vote from you! All I need you to do is wander on over to Pho for Five and leave a comment voting for the Bumble Bee. It only takes a second and will help me … [Read more...]

Flashback Friday – Halloween 2001

I was going through our bucket of old pictures, what's left of them anyways, and thought it would be fun to try a meme called Flashback Friday. Every Friday I'll share a little slice of my past with you. This picture is of my first Halloween with my husband. It's scary what 7 years and 3 kids does to you, but here I am at the tender age of 18 dressed up in my husband's old security uniform. He is sporting his old car wash uniform from when he … [Read more...]

I Cried Tonight

There were tears of joy, but mostly tears of sadness. My baby girl isn't a baby anymore. :-( After her incident of jumping out of the crib we decided to bite the bullet and buy her a toddler bed. We spent 3 days of searching stores and finally found a white one in stock at Toys R Us. She looks so sweet in there but it still breaks my heart to watch her grow so quickly. It seems like just yesterday I was feeling her tiny little kicks in my … [Read more...]

Pumpkin Carving Festival

Every year the Carillon Society holds a fundraising event by puting on a yearly Pumpkin Spectacular. It's a night of glowing, carved pumpkins, food and fun. The weekend before they invite the community out to help carve the pumpkins. Out of the 2008 pumpkins being shown this year, we carved 4 of them. My husband did two, one of which I ended up fixing for him and our son did two while I supervised our toddler and snapped pictures.Out of the … [Read more...]

It’s Time!

Time for what?....a Toddler bed. My heart dropped today when I heard a big thud come from my daughter's room during her nap...it was the biggest thud I'd ever heard. Then came silence and a big wail of cries. I sprinted to her bedroom to find my precious baby girl laying face down on the floor crying her little heart out. We sat there for probably 15 minutes just holding each other before I could check her out to make sure nothing was bleeding or … [Read more...]
