In less than 3 months this sweet baby of mine will be starting Kindergarten. Sigh. I'm not ready. She is, but I'm most definitely not. A few weeks ago my son started begging to buy more football cards. Nothing new. I'd heard it a million times since he's become quite obsessed with collecting them. It wasn't until he wanted to drop a $20 bill on a box of cards that something in me snapped. I couldn't take it anymore and put an end to it by buying him and his sisters all piggy banks. After days and days of chilly temperatures it finally warmed up enough for the family to venture outside. I couldn't help but "stop and smell the roses" so to speak, noticing all of the pretty things that have grown since I was last outside. For starters, my 6 year old hosta came back bigger than ever. April has been quite the unpredictable month with temperatures bouncing between freezing and a steamy 80-something degrees. Rain has been spotty at best and well, it has been just too flip-floppy to even consider planting my vegetable garden. I say different because it's not exactly better, worse or even staying the same. Some major things have changed in our lives in the past few months. I'm sure every parent thinks the birth of each of their children is a special moment to never be forgotten. As a mom of three children, I know I feel that each birth was uniquely special but the last, well, that I think was the sweetest.
