Ever since starting this wretched fitness journey to lose the mommy fat, I haven't spent nearly as much time baking anything as much as I use to. I can't. I'll eat it and get fatter. I'll admit, I didn't watch much football this season, except for the game where the Chiefs whooped up on the undeafeted Packers. Now THAT was a sweet game because 1) the Chiefs were kinda pathetic this year and 2) I got to laugh so hard when they beat my dad's precious Packers. It's the time of year where I just can't help but think of apples, apples and more apples. Next to bananas and maybe even kiwis, apples are among my favorite fruits. Yesterday morning I woke up to a chilly breeze creeping through my bedroom window. It was a quick reminder that 1) I should have worn socks to bed and 2) Fall is without a doubt here! It also reminded me of the Autumn Sugar Cookie Leavens and Acorns I made last year. It is without a doubt football season. My son has been on the field for a few weeks now, I was hoping for an early win with Chief's kicking the Packer's butts in week 4 of pre-season games (didn't happen, ugh) and I'm ready to rumble ... in the kitchen. I don't know what it is about PMS but every month my hormones go outrageously out of control followed by urgent need to devour one particular kind of sweet eat.
