Our Experience

boudreaux skin protectantFor years we’ve been using the original Boudreaux’s Butt Paste with our kids who often experience diaper rash, especially with our daughter’s that have very sensitive skin. Often, just a temperature change or excessive liquid can cause a diaper rash break out. Having a large tub of butt paste on hand has been a life saver because it always manages to clear up the rash.

Last week, we were given a sample of a new daily skin protectant made by Boudreaux’s. Right from the start, I’m really enjoying using this because my fingers never actually have to come in contact with the product. The trigger at the top of the can dispenses the diaper rash oil directly onto the skin. While the bottle claims it to be a “clear, continuous mist” I would actually describe it as more of a soft stream of liquid.

Regardless, the liquid easily spreads over my daughter’s skin and provides a barrier between her skin and the diaper. I’ve noticed by the time she’s ready for the next diaper change the oil has absorbed into her skin leaving it soft and rash free for the past week. We have typically experienced at least one diaper rash per week at the very least in the past.

  2. Good call…I’m going to look for it (and request the free sample)!

  3. I just reviewed this too- wanted to say about the liquid issue- if you press the button really hard when you use it, it is a mist. If you don’t, then you have the liquid stream instead. At least that’s what happened with me. :)

    • Well aww be darned, I had no idea. LOL Thanks for sharing that tid bit. I’m always a bit light handed so I don’t break things.

  4. I love their butt paste for the daycare kiddos. It’s is the best I have found other than prescription. Great review!

We were introduced to the butt paste by the hospital once when my youngest was admitted. I don’t really have a need for this but just wanted to say that the paste is awesome.
