If there’s one thing we love in this house it is babies, so much that we’re now up to three of them. With each of our children, some of our best memories were made in the bath tub. Between discovering the fun of bubbles and making little mo-hawks out of their soap filled hair we have a lot of memories all built around bath time fun. But sometimes, the bath tub isn’t always for play time. There are moments, especially for newborns and late in the evening when you want to reserve a bath for a time of relaxation.

Johnson’s, a company the specializes in personal care product for infants, has just released a new bath time product for babies designed to soothe, calm and help your baby sleep better.

Johnson's Baby Bedtime Bath Body WashJOHNSON’S® BEDTIME® bubble bath & wash combines NATURALCALM™ essences with lots of bubbles and our NO MORE TEARS® formula, extra gentle baby wash. Use it with JOHNSON’S® 3-step, nightly routine to help your baby sleep better. *Treat your baby to a warm bubble bath using JOHNSON’S® BEDTIME® bubble bath & wash, then gently massage skin with JOHNSON’S® BEDTIME® lotion. End with quiet time to help your baby drift off to a better night’s sleep.

While it’s not going to be a guaranteed cure for a cranky baby, the scent is very relaxing and not the least bit overpowering in my opinion. The best part is this is a multipurpose product. Rather than paying double the price for a bubble bath and a body wash, Johnson’s baby bedtime bubble bath & wash combines both products into one convenient bottle.

Besides using it at home, Johnson’s baby products are also great to give as a gift. Whether you are giving a baby shower gift or a welcome baby care package, I have a few ideas below of ways to incorporate your favorite Johnson’s products into homemade and affordable new baby gifts.

Homemade Baby Shower Gift Ideas

Baby Essentials Diaper Cake

A fairly inexpensive and fun way to create a gift for someone you love expecting a little one is to give a gift that is not only useful, but beautiful. Follow this video to watch how to make a diaper cake. To finish it off, add a few bath friendly products like rubber duckies and a Johnson’s Baby Take-a-long pack that includes mini bottles of shampoo, body wash, lotion, powder and diaper rash cream. These products can be easily added around each tier of the cake.

Bath Bath Tub Gift Basket

Don’t waste your money on fancy gift bags and baskets. Buy something a new mom needs like a baby bath tub and fill it up with everything baby needs for bath time. Some great things to include in the tub: a hooded bath towel, wash cloths, age appropriate bath toys and Johnson’s New Baby Bedtime Bubble Bath & Wash. Tie it all up with cellophane wrap and a big bow!

New Daddy Diaper Duty Tool Kit

We can’t forget the dads! If anyone needs as much help as they can get with a new baby in the picture it’s daddy. Put together a really fun gift that’s sure to make him smile and armed for those diaper explosions. With a black magic marker, label the tool box as the “Daddy Diapering Tool Kit”. Fill up the tool kit with essentials for dad and baby that could include: apron, face mask, latex gloves, safety goggles, diapers, wipes, Johnson’s Baby Powder and Desitin Diaper Rash Cream.

I wrote this review while participating in a blog tour campaign by Mom Central on behalf of Johnson’s and received samples of Johnson’s Baby products to facilitate my review.
