This year it was my turn to host the family dinner so I thought I’d save myself the headache of trying to cook while tripping over toys and just move the dinner to Christmas Eve. It works out so much better this way so we can just drop gifts under the tree, get a good night’s sleep and relax on Christmas Day.
After cleaning up dinner and dropping some reindeer chow in the yard the kids all got to open their Christmas Eve gifts from our elves, Elmer and Ella. (they’re always pajamas)
While I went to collect all the gifts from my mom’s house, Jon helped the girls put out Santa’s cookies and milk …. and our elves who go home with Santa till next year.
And this year, my gosh the kids were excited about it, I got to use a service called iCaught Santa and share a picture of Santa in our living room with the kids. The girls completely freaked out seeing this!
Presents were delivered ….
I even managed to get a quick picture of all three kids together … and smiling!
Then of course there was the shredding of wrapping paper until my entire living room looked like a war zone.
Matt got all decked out in Packer’s gear.
Kaydee looks like she got a few years older in her snazzy new sweater dress and boots from Crazy 8.
And Santa even dropped off something special for me. My first pair of diamond earrings from my wonderful husband.
Merry Christmas y’all! I hope your day is full of joy and blessings!
