During the winter months, like many people, I experience dry skin skin. Some days the dryness can be so bad that my palms burn, turn bright red and flake. It’s not an experience that looks or feels good. Having sensitive skin that is irritated even more, I tend to look for products and hand creams that are fragrance free and marked as “Dermatologist Recommended“. One recent product I’ve tried is the Norwegian Formula Hand Cream from Neutrogena which retails for about $5 and is available in a fragrance free, a feature that is particularly important to me.

This particular hand cream is one I really like and will continue to use throughout this winter. The formula is concentrated, meaning just a tiny dab of the cream can be applied to both hands, front and back. That’s a lot of uses from one small bottle. Out of the bottle, the cream is slightly transparent because it’s Glycerin-rich, an ingredient that prevents dryness and draws moisture to the skin.

More than anything though, I like using the Neutrogena Hand Cream because it doesn’t leave my hands feeling slippery or greasy but rather soft without any irritation.

One lucky reader will win a Neutrogena® prize pack valued at approx. $35 that includes: Neutrogena Hand Cream, Neutrogena Rainbath Shower and Bath Gel, Neutrogena Body Oil, Neutrogena Lip Moisturizer SPF 15 and Neutrogena Moisture Wrap Body Lotion.

I experience the most dryness on my hands. Working with papers all day doesn’t help the situation in the Winter – this would be a great solution! :)

  2. Sarah Frasier says

My hands get AWFUL! First they feel like leather, then they itch and I get awful dermatitis (itchy bumps), then they crack and bleed. I need to keep them warm and hydrated, but no creams or lotions seems to help once they get dry. Maybe this would do the trick!

It’s a tie between my hands and my forehead. It seems like I can’t keep either mosturized or lotioned up enough. My hands definitely hurt more when they’re dry… so maybe they win over.
